Béla Novák

Department of Biochemistry, University of Oxford, Oxford UK

In the Dynamics of molecular regulatory networks lab, at the Department of Biochemistry of the University of Oxford, Novák is trying to understand how cellular processes are organized in time and space. Besides his work in the eukaryotic cell cycle control field, which is organized around cyclin-dependent kinases and their regulators, he is also interested in cellular morphogenesis. Nóvak is using mathematical models to understand these problems of biological organization. He is building these mathematical models based on the extensive molecular biological and physiological data available. The mathematical approach he’s using is required for deciphering the intricacies of biological systems.
